Pros: Claims to contain extremely large amounts of hoodia. Does not contain caffiene or other "fat-burners." Uses whole hoodia rather than extract.

Cons: The quality of Hoodia utilized is questionable. To begin with real hoodia is too expensive to offer 90 - 1000 mg capsules for $35.95. Also most studies indicate that 1200mg per day (broken up in 3-400mg servings per day) is the most effective dosage. Also, Hoodia 24's larger 1000mg capsules may be unsuitable for those who have difficulty swallowing pills. Finally we are uncertain whether only aerial stems or other parts of the hoodia plant are used.

Vita Logic's Hoodia 24 is another supplement that takes the "more is better" approach and subsequently claims to use an exagerrated amount of Hoodia which is not only unecessary but also impossible to produce at the price point that they sell their product at. This product did not fare as well as Hoodoba with our testing group.

Overall, our testers were somewhat satisfied with Vita Logic Hoodia 24. As said before, generally we disagree with the "more is more" approach so often embraced by American supplement manufacturers and question their ability to use 1000 mgs of Hoodia per capsule.

Some of our testers were vegans who avoid gelatin (a by-product of the processing of cowhide) and were therefore not able to try Vita Logic Hoodia 24. In addition, the product contains small amounts of additives – magnesium stearate, stearic acid and croscarmellose. These additives are not uncommon and ease the manufacturing process. These types of additives are found in almost all vitamins and supplements.

We suspect that Vita Logic Hoodia 24 uses the whole hoodia plant, rather than the most effective portions, in this supplement. If so this would explain its reduced effectiveness. But this is only a theory.

Overall, we think Vita Logic Hoodia 24 is a very average hoodia supplement. There are better supplements widely available on the market.
